The “messing up the timeline” situation is so overdone at this point, and I’m not sure I was really into this time around. This week’s episode was mediocre and lacked a sense of excitement that it could have potentially had. Let’s hope this all doesn’t go south for Nora. However, Nora goes to 2049 to speak with Eobard Thawne to make sure he knows what’s he doing. It won’t always be that simple so it’s important to be mindful of it.īy the end of the episode, all is well with the timeline, even Cisco finally gets his date right (phew!). Having been through this ordeal himself, he advises Nora the danger of it, even if things worked out this time. By doing so, Cicada gets hit with the dagger and falls off the rooftop they were on.Īll the while, Barry has been inside the Speed Force and learns how Nora went through 52 different timelines before finally fixing things for the better. In order to stop Cicada from killing someone, they have to mess around with the timeline by reversing it.
Together, they come up with a plan to stop someone from dying (even Cecile was one of the victims). They learn that Nora is trying to stop Cicada from killing one of them but nothing is working. Eventually, he realizes what Nora is doing and tells everyone else. Each time he tries to be someone he’s not and ends up having a horrible date (thanks to Ralph’s overzealous advice). During all this resetting, Cisco begins to vibe things that are about to happen, particularly the date he is going on.
Given that her father left everything up to her, she’s naturally freaking out. No matter how many times Nora tries to reset the timeline, someone ends up dying. This time around Sherloque is kidnapped, and Cisco ends up getting the dagger when he vibes in. Sherloque has always been suspicious of Nora and her intentions and decides to go investigate Iris’ office after Nora insists that her mother work from the lab. Once again, Nora resets the timeline, eager to make things right. This time around, Ralph is the one that is kidnapped by Cicada and killed by the lightning dagger. Unfortunately, Cicada ends up killing Killer Frost/Caitlin with his dagger and Nora gets so frazzled that she runs as fast as she can–until she resets everything. Things take a crappy turn (of course, this would happen to Nora) when Iris is kidnapped by Cicada and Killer Frost and Nora go to rescue her after she sends a distress signal. After Barry goes into the Speed Force to expedite the process of getting the metahuman cure ready, Nora is left in charge of being the interim Flash. But this week, she gets a pass because it is something her father is guilty of too–messing with events in time.
